Happy Birthday to Jen-A-Fusion!!

http://twomenandalittlefarm.blogspot.com/2013/03/happy-birthday-1st-man.html

I know most companies might say '10th Anniversary Celebration' or some such thing. Well, I'm not most companies! Plus 'anniversary' doesn't lend itself to cake and I want there to be CAKE at my party!

Jen-A-Fusion has turned 10 whole years old! Crazy to believe, somehow, I'm still here, plugging along, creating handcrafted goodies for people to use, love and share. I'm educating about waste and supporting people's efforts to reduce, recycle and reuse. Getting into the community spirit. Cheering my fellow artists on. Teaching others to create.

At the beginning of this calender year, when I realized that my baby would be turning 10, it made me turn to the past. I thought about my beginnings, the humble roots. I thought about all the wonderful people I have meet and been able to keep in touch with- customers, other artists, promoters and lots of friends. I am so blessed to have gotten to know so many great individuals over the years. It has made for a much fuller life than I could have imagined.

I would like to celebrate this very momentous birthday by inviting everyone to come to my studio and have birthday cake! I could not have made it through the last 10 years without the support of so many customers, friends, family and fellow artists. I've been so fortunate to have been blessed with such a support system, I wanted to take the time and effort thank everyone for their encouragement in living a nontraditional life. I know that not everyone, especially my family, will be able to make it but I wanted to express my gratitude to those that could.

Please join me next week as I toast my humble company, my gracious customers, the community support around me *and* also Earth Day! There will be cake and treats, memories and stories, as well as some new work and old favorites. I will have some special sales and items that I would love to get to a new home, like winter goods. In general, I would love to see as many of the wonderful people around me as I can.

The celebration will be located at my studio in the Torpedo Factory Art Center, studio 320, 105 N. Union St., Alexandria, VA. I will be open Thursday, April 23rd from about 1pm through our late-night when we close at 9 PM. The celebrations will continue on Friday from about noon to 6 PM and Saturday from about noon to 5 PM. Please feel free to bring your family and friends, coworkers and loved ones. Stay to look around the Torpedo Factory, take a walk down by the river and enjoy old town Alexandria.

I could not have survived the last 10 years without your support! I do know I will not last the next 10 without the same support! This is not my celebration alone! Come toast YOUR support of local small businesses, like mine!

If you can't make it totally understand and look forward to seeing you sometime in the near future!

Happy spring!~ Jen
