Western Market this Saturday, August 25th

Hey all! Looking forward to being back at the Western Market tomorrow. If you have never been, it is a cute little place to shop for a variety of items, such as hand made jewelry, fair trade shawls and locally roasted coffee. Right up the hill are many fun shops and cafes to hang out in. Also, there is a farmers market up the street to get some fresh flowers.

It is going to be a hot one, so use the rest of your summer wisely- get out and enjoy it, before we are all wearing sweaters!

Western Market, on 18th Street in Adams Morgan, from noon until dusk. Check out the website for a map! http://www.dcwesternmarket.com/

See you there!-Jen

NEW Products

I have some exciting new products for the upcoming Fall Season. And, upcoming holiday giving season. Yes, I know it is only (the end of) August, but it is never too early to starting looking out for friends and family.

The first fun and uber-useful item is a wristlet. Several customers had asked about these little guys, but I just didn't think they would be feasible. I am a true believer in being prepared, and how prepared can you be with just a little bag on your wrist? Well, I have been proven wrong! These little zippered pouches are large enough to hold money, keys, phone, lip gloss and more. I even got a thin cotton shawl in one!

They are made from reclaimed upholstery fabric samples, mostly fun, cleanable vinyl. There are a variety of colors to match every personality. At $15, you'll want more than one, I'm sure...

The second new product is a great every use bag. It is made completely from recycled materials, mostly a garbanzo bean bag!

This bag is prefect for the farmers' market, day at the beach or even just commuting to work. With sturdy handles made from heavy canvas or denim and a re-enforced bottom, it will carry a ton of your worldly possessions. There is also an interior patch pocket. For only $25, this is a fantastic way to wean yourself off of plastic shopping bags.

An extra special thank you to Pete at Amsterdam Falafelshop in Adams Morgan for the garbanzo bean bags and the challenge of making something useful out of them!

I hope you will come to visit me at some of the upcoming fall shows and festivals. These items, and many more fun things, will be available. Happy end of summer!-Jen
